This list poem idea was stolen borrowed from Elisabeth Ellington who credits Ruth Ayres with the original idea.

Sounds like a lovely, contented day. Nicely done.
This is a beautiful poem, a busy day though. I may try this myself.
I loved Elisabeth’s poem. I might try this today. Just found out we have a snow day! No school! Time to write! WooHoo!
Super idea. I’d like to keep a notebook next to my bed to jot down ideas in this manner. Love Mr. Al.
Love the listing but I’m exhausted. Nap time?
So glad my piece inspired this wonderful poem! One thing I’m really discovering this month is how generative certain structures and titles can be!
Oh the fall!! But still a wonderful day. Loved seeing Mr. Al.
I followed the thread of list poems, yours, Elisabeth’s, and then Ruth’s. I like the way your threaded your day together. Peace and rest up.
I love this post! My favourite line was this one: Mr. Al, old oak, waves hello And then I see that Mr. Al is indeed the oak. I thought it was Mr. Al standing by an old oak!
We name our oak trees around here. I have other posts about Mr. Al. I keep thinking he’d make a good children’s story. He was moved down the highway to save his life.
So glad you add the photo!! You’ve inspired me to try a list poem. Your ending was my favorite part….how I end my days too when I can!! PS – On day 23, our 200th post was added to kidlog…my class LOVES kidblog!! I’m lown away by 3rd graders sharing so MANY small moments!!!
A full day, my friend! Loved the way you captured it.
